Check Engine!

Finally got around to installing the Dr. Performance stage II module last night. Supposedly these things are do not leave a foot print. Upon firing it up I got a "check engine" light. Everything seems to working OK, the power increase was impressive (not sure if I am actually getting it all though. For some reason the dang thing did not come with any instructions but was easy enough to figure out. I did do things a little different than the installation video posted on on the web site and maybe that has something to do with my problem. I used a "Stealth PLate" instead of the crimp connector and I figured while I was under there I should go ahead and re calibrate my TPS/APPS, so the negative cales to the batteries had been unhooked with the key in the run position for about an hour before I taped the pump, although the MAF had been plugged in with in ten minutes of disconnecting the cables. Any thoughts? I am guessing that if I go to the shop and have them read the code it os going to come up as the MAF as per the installation video the batteries remain grounded with the key off while doing the install.

Double check all your connections.
When I "did the wire" on my Comp, the CEL popped on, checked everything over a couple of times, light went out after (I think) about 10 restarts.

Thx for the info guys. I spoke with Jeff @ Advanced Diesel and he said beings how this is the newest model of this particular module he had not heard of any issues with them. He advised that I remove the Negatives again and see if the soft code would clear itself. I did so and after a test run and half a dozen restarts the code has not light has not come back. I will stop by AutoZone tonight and make sure that it hasnt stored any errors, other than that all seems to be OK.
