Valvoline Max Life says it is +4 compatible on the back of the bottle. I changed out my transfer case with it last week. Available just about anywhere.

I used that to replace what drained out when I R&R'd my tranny temp probe a while back.

thanks and a warning !!!!!

I talked to a very knowledgeable mech at the dealership and he advised that atf+3 is compatible but that no more than 1 quart should be added. there is also an additive for dexron III so that you can use up to a quart of it also. the additive is available at napa stores.

thanks once again for the info

I had to buy it from the dealer. It was somewhere around $6-8/gallon so not to bad on price.

Hmm... I called the dealer a few weeks ago and was told $4 and change
per quart and $16+ per gallon.

Looks like I need to move.
