boost gauge flutter?

Installed boost gauge about 1 month ago. Worked perfect. Needle very smooth. Started "fluttering" in the higher boost levels about 2 weeks ago. Now gauge "flutters" with any boost over 5. I don't know if this a gauge problem or somthing with the turbo? I used the Geno's boost bolt for the install. Checked connections at gauge and at boost bolt. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks
Angelo

What brand of gauge? I don't see a flutter but I do hear a pulsation. Common issue. Hope you find the issue.

That sounds like a gauge problem to me. The turbo really can't cause a flutter when it is making boost.

Sounds like a bit of a leak or obstruction in the line, since it happens as the boost increases.

Check you intracooler boots. You might have one leaking.

I over tightened my line at the compression fitting and caused a slight crack in the plastic line that came with my Auto guage. Caused the same symptom. I trimmed it back and didn't tourqe it quite as hard the next time and it has been fine since.
Just what happened to me.

Thank you all for the replies. I will check the plastic line. I already checked the
boot conections . I think it's either the gauge or the plastic line. Thanks for all the help.

sounds like a line problem. a small leak. a leak that releases pressure quickly can cause the gauge to responde like that... i was testing a 60psi relief valve at home and it caused the gauge to pulse/fluctuate real bad when it cracked open enough so that the pointer on my test gauge came around to the "0" fast enough to bend the pointer... i was not pleased with that. i should have had a snubber inline with my gauge but i didn't have one handy...
