boost elbow with SPS62 on 2nd gen

I'm putting on a SPS62 on my 98 12valve. It looks like the tube that came out of the hx35 waste gate and into the boost elbow on top of the AFC housing is bypassed. On the SPS62 it runs from the waste gate to the compressor housing. Do I just remove the boost elbow and put a plug in that hole? If so does anyone know what the size is? Also The old pyro adapter in my old exhaust manafold broke when I was trying to remove it to install my new ATS manifold. Does anyone know where and what size that is? its a male/male fitting. one side im pretty sure was 1/8NPT the other side is smaller but not sure what. its for a di pricol gauge.

Thanks everyone
Christian

Plug off the line running from your AFC housing and leave the line on the turbo alone.

Thats what i thought but I wanted to be sure. Thanks!

Also now that the turbo is in. It dosent fit. The waste gate actuator is hard up against the shock tower. Thats of course is really bad. Does anyone know what I did wrong or is it just a **** poor design?

Captain:

It's not a bad turbo design. You will have to "clock" the housings. You will have to slightly loosen the bolts holding the retainers down on the exhaust side so you can rotate (clock) the turbo.

I don't have the torque values for a SPS62 and not sure if they are the same as my HTB2. They aren't very much though, so don't overdue.

You may need to adjust the compressor side also. In the end you need to keep the oil feed and return lines as close to vertical as possible. If you tip them too far you can get some back up and then blow the seals.

If it's any consolation, I had to adjust both aftermarket turbos to get them to fit.

I know you can adjust the intake side but I didnt see anyway to clock the exhaust side. It looks like its all 1 cast peice from where it mounts to the manifold. I'll check again tomorrow. Hopefully thats just it.
thanks again
