Drop, drain, flush, fill w/t gas, purge the fuel rail, drive it, clear codes.

Were you on a farm or something?

How did you fit the nozzle in there otherwise?

The nozzles here, even at the corner fuel stations, are different sizes...

The gas nozzles will fit in the diesel filler necks...

But diesel nozzles will not fit in the gas one's.

Diesel fuel pumps with the smaller diameter gasoline nozzles are more common than you'd think. I was amazed when I got my truck at how many stations have the small nozzle.

That's a good thing too as I have an '06 Jetta that will only take as standard size nozzle. What a pain when I have to use a truck size nozzle....

Anyhow... drain the tank, try to pull the lines from the top of the tank if you can get to them, or if you have an inline fuel filter, pull that, get a new one and change it, and try to let as much of it drain from the lines.

Spray the Throttle body out with some good TB cleaner, fill her up with good gas and a fuel injector cleaner, maybe 2 bottles of it, and fire her up. I do not think that you will have as bad of a problem as we do when we fill up with gas. You might want to change the spark plugs after you get it running. The fuel filter is a must, check with the service manual and make sure that there is only one... some years have 2.

hth...

Drain the tank, put gas in it, run the sob, you dont need to flush anything it will all burn will just smoke for the first few miles. I wouldn't even change the fuel filter.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Find wiring to run electric fuel pump and disconnect hose(fuel line) in engine compartment. Jump electric pump and catch fuel. When all pumped out, refill with gas and drive. The two - four gallons of mixed fuel left in tank with be diluted enough with fill up and not give problem. JMHO

I too have not seen small diesel nozzles but I have noticed everywhere else cept on Fort Sill, that diesel nozzles/handles are GREEN and because of this I check the nozzle size/color.

Yup. Just lowers the octane a few numbers and lowers the Reid vapor pressure so cold starts might be a little difficult until it's all worked out. If it knocks dump in some octane booster.
