blown turbo?
blown turbo?
had tst box turned to level 5, running about 65mph on the freeway, i got into it. after a few seconds heard a pop noise and had severe white smoke blowing from exhaust with lost turbo boost. truck seems to run ok but builds no boost and turbo housing is leaking oil badly. i can cloud out a city block with all the white smoke from the oil running into the exhaust. i don't have any experience with turbo issues. please help. thanks
Either blew a head gasket or the turbo. Best way to check is to take the exhaust manifold and turbo off the truck and start it up. Be sure to put the oil feed line to the turbo into a can or something. It will make a mess real quick. If oil pours out of one of the exhaust ports then you've blown the head gasket. If not, then the turbo is shot.
Good luck.
Good luck.
