blinkers

My blinkers will blink 2 or 3 times then quit. But if I have one of my trailers hooked up they work fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, a bulb burned out on one of the corners perhaps? A broken/rusted ground on a light circuit will also do that. It may be grounding thru the trailer connect when it's hooked to a trailer.
