I have a 2004 cummins . i got some diesel from a friend,said it contained some bio ,not sure of the percentage.I put in 8 gallons topped off tank. check engine light is on rough idle. pulled fuel filter looked fine, check engine light went off.should i drain the tank . any help or suggestions thanks!

same as above, need to see what codes are showing.

u said that the filter is clean, so i would rule out the normal clogged fuel filter.
usually when someone starts using bio-diesel. it plugs the fuel filter a couple of times.
b-100 bio-diesel is a great cleaner. non toxic so u can use it to clean parts, etc.

Do not even mess with unknown diesel in these newer trucks. It is not worth it. Quality diesel only.
