big hesitation

2002, 2500 w/ automatic
Sometimes when I'm driving normal say 45-50 mph and I push down to accelerate it feels like a governor has kicked in nothing happens until I push far enough to hit passing gear.
When this happens the motor stays at the same RPM and nothing happens unless I let off the peddle all the way or step down all the way.

Welcome to the DTR!

Probably because your Touque converter is locked, and you are at lugging speed. Normal, to a degree. As long as the tranny is shifting when you get on it, you should be fine. A good performance box will clear that up!

Fill your sig out so we know what you have. Go to the top left side of the page, click on user CP, then on edit signature.

I'm sure that a second gen guy will come along soon and help you out some more...
