the tq plate install is very easy
open it up and put it back together

you should check to make sure its straight before putting it back together

With some plates that aren't installed in the stock position it's wise to follow the instructions here http://www.piersdiesel.com/TechLeverAdj.htm

If you don't the governor arm may go under the plate, you won't get the performance you should have.
