Axle nut torque

Axle nut torque

i changed the unitized hub bearing on my truck to day but i cant seem to find the torque spec for the nut that preloads the bearings. does someone know what the spec is on that axle nut, the one on the end of the spindle. thanks

From my 97 manual the Axle nut Torque is 175 FT-LBS 12 point 1 11/16" socket.

i tightened mine as tight as i could get it with a 1/2 breaker bar + a 1/4 turn
