Auto Trans ??
I have a 95 2500 auto OD, will not go into OD, I done the tps check, 5v input
ground was there But the signal wire had 4.93v, with the tps unplugged, Is that normal? Also when it makes the 2-3 shift under a light load it "slips into gear" But under harder accel. it shifts fine. PLEASE HELP

Sounds like the od solenoid does not work. make sure the brake light switch is not sticking, lock up will not happen with the brake lights on. If not I would check the od solenoid next. A shift kit would do wonders for it, should cure your 2/3 shift. It will raise line preasure, firming up the shifts.
Should be a 47RH. If you can find a friendly parts department at a dealer have them run your vin # and print a line ticket. It will tell you every option on the truck. They are great, I have a friend that owns a Jeep dealership and I have him print one out for every chrysler product that I own.

if you unplug the harness from the tps there should only a 5 volt reference on 1 side and ground on the other side. the signal wire should not have any voltage when unplugged. when plugged in 5vt on ref ground on ground and about .5vt on signal wire.
ok had the tranny rebuilt, 3rd and od clutches were gone.but still no od or lock up.replaced the brake switch still nothing. I traced the signal wire to the pcm, cut it 1 in. from the pcm, had 4.95v at the pcm. Is the pcm shorted?
I'm no expert by any means, but that would be my guess. You might also want to see if there is some form of mystery switch or potentiometer somewhere else causing this, though I am not sure where it would be. Do a search here under mystery switch and see what it brings up.
Just for giggles, I looked at my 97 FSM, I don't know for sure of yours is the same, but on the 97, PCM connector C1, the TPS voltage feed goes in wire at A23, and conveniently there is fused 12V at A22. Perhaps some corrosion or something else is allowing voltage across A22 and A23 at the connector?
Best I can come up with right now.
