I have had some problems with the transmission in the truck....due to an improper gauge install, and now I have to change the fluid in the tranny. I have read here about how Dodge ATF+4 is the way to go. I went to the dealer and tried to buy 2 gallons of it and they told me not to use it. The dealer said that if I wanted to add to the current fluid level I should buy a quart of ATF+4. If I was changing the filter and fluid, I should use ATF+3.

Any comments or suggestions???

Your truck came from the factory with ATF+4! Why would the guy tell you to put ATF+3 in there? That will void your warranty!!!!!
Get the ATF+4.....................

 

and don't go back to that dealer. Sounds like they're wanting you to void your warranty.
