So far I haven't seen anyone else have these apps symptoms..... When I'm driving long stretches, as I'm getting off the interstate I'll slip it outta gear and coast down the exit ramp. Then the check engine light comes on and I have no throttle, only idle. I just pull into a gas station & do the apps reset procedure. After I finish that I clear the codes with my superchips programmer, and the check engine light goes off. What do you guys think?

 

Mine would dead pedal after long stints using the cruise control, it went away after the dealership warrentied the VP. I didn't get any lights though, it would just dead pedal for a second and then come back to me. After the new VP it has done exactly what you descibed once. I did the APPS reset and the problem hasn't come back, and that has been months ago.

I would guess you have a failing APPS...

 

I still have 1000 miles til I get home and will be able to fix it. Do you think I'll be ok to get home?

i just replaced mine and every now and then it would give me the dead pedel. At idle in park or neutral sitting still my RPMs would jump around. Since replacing it all that is gone

Yes you should be fine to get home as long as the part doesn't totally fail on you.
