anybody had an FCA go bad?
Try draining fuel filter canister, change filter, and put in about an ounce of conditioner with a good lubricant in it in canister. Put a double or tripple dose into tank. Use that tank if problems subside then next tank run straight diesel, if problems come back its the FCA that is sticking. My truck was acting up and smokin after I got dealer to install new sticks and they said it was the "after market injectors causeing it. Because they dump all that extra fuel in and it cant burn it all at idle".
Which was the same problem I had when I took it into the dealer. What I discribed is what I did, changed the FCA. No idle smoke and smooth sailing since.
Also if ya need to change FCA very easy to do but check local diesel shops for it Dealer/250 bone local part shop 90 bones
