Scotty, the only dealer I found in WI was B&C Repair in Reedsville. Phone 920-775-4238

I'd send Lary a pm, maybe he has some info a well.

Dude! That sucks something awful...

I want to get a spare pump and keep it in the truck.

If you bypass the pump, the CP3 should draw enough of a vacuum to drive the truck...

Sorry, man.

I'll be talking to them first thing in the a.m.
I read somewhere that the raptor has an internal bypass. I'm safe and sound where I am til a new pump gets here.
when the truck goes up for sale, almost everything will be new.

Noticed in the picture on the internet for that hotel you are in that there is snow on the ground.
Sorry you are still stuck there because it is summer just about everywhere else.

I still have my new raptor 100 stashed under the back seat.
I keep hoping some little elves or the cummins fairy will install it before my original gives up.

Sucks to hear about the pump. 9 times outta 10 when the fuse blows it's because the seal in the pump area has failed and let fuel in where it shouldn't be and it shorts out the motor......thus blowing the fuse. If you had the time and the tools to replace the seal I feel confident that you'd be ok. But, there in lies the problem. You never know WHEN it's going to fail. Only problem when the motor shorts out is sometimes it will actually cook the windings to the point that they break in half and the motor has to be replaced.

Thats what has happened on all the pumps. Seal fails and the windings get messed up...split, blackened and even mushy on spots.

I will pursue a better solution as this is not acceptable.

Do you have a rough estimate on how long the pumps have been lasting?

Fuel Lab has an excellent pump. Brushless motors. Pricey but excellent and won't leave you on the side of the road.

I think something is actually causing the seals to keep failing in his case. I've been running my AD150 for about 7 years and only had 1 seal fail......no other issues. A friend of mine purchased an AD165 with adjustable pressure setting on it and had problems just after it was installed. After 3 different replacement motor assemblies were sent out to him he finally got smart and actually checked the pressure.....85 psi!!

That's what it was set at from Air Dog. He lowered it down to about 18 psi and the pump sounds so much better and has started lasting too. It always sounded like it was straining to run.......now we know why. The seal just couldn't contain the fuel with all the pressure it had on it.
