Air conditioner water leak inside cab

Howdy!

I have a 96 12v extended cab. Yesterday went for a drive and water came pouring out from under the passenger side dash. The water is coming from a square outlet on the passenger left side. My guess was that the drain tube for the air conditioner is stopped up and this is an overflow. It appears that the collects up and when a turn or stop is made the water comes pouring out. I've looked for the drain and can'nt seem to find it. I do notice that there is no water flow under the truck from the air conditioner drain. The air conditioner is working and cooling fine.

So help were is the drain plug so I can stop this water coming into the cab. Or do I have another problem.

Thanks

"Happy Trails"
chiefneon

It should be right behind the filter dryer.

The dryer is the black canister with the green connector on top. The pics are from a 99, but they should be the same.

Chris

Sounds like you are on the right track there! Keep an eye out for water under that passenger seat caused by the gasket going bad on that third brake light on top of the cab.

My 96 had the water on the floor and it took me awhile to figure out that light was the problem. It runs off to the side and then down across the rocker panel, finally dumping on the floor

I had checked my a/c drain but it wasn't clogged, sounds like yours is though. Good luck!
