O.K.......can you feel any difference in air from heat to cool? I have had more than one vehicle that if it is turned from hot to cold really fast, it doesn't seem to recognize the change. Try moving the temp **** nice and slow from cold to hot, wait 30 seconds and then back to cold. Make sure that it gets hot when in the hot side too. If the line is frosty, then the a/c is capable of cooling. It sounds like there could be an issue in side. Poor airflow has been a problem when the recirc door breaks and that isn't too uncommon on you year of trucks. try that, and we'll go from there.

Hmmm......gonna need a set of guages to hook to the a/c then. Hard to diagnose anymore without knowing some pressures. Typically , if there is enough freon to kick the compressor in and you have a line getting frosted, then there is enough freon to cool some. Which line is getting frosted? The larger diameter line, or the small one?
