abs and brake light
??? not sure why these 2 lights are on, the brakes work fine I was told it could be the sensor on top of the rear dif. any ideas on why the ABS and Brake light are on would be appreciated. 1997 ram3500 4x4 automatic dually

Anytime the ABS system reads an error on anypart of the system this two lights will come on. If the error tripped and nothin wrong then after three start up with out any more errors on the system and on the fourth start up the lights should go out. If there stay on after a couple of start ups then a sensor is dirty or going bad.<br><br>A couple of weeks ago my buddie was pulling a car out of the ditch and his came on while doing that then went back off on the forth start up on his 01' 2500. If the computer reads something funny then I think that will make the lights come on also.

Great site, lots of info.<br>I have a problem with the same lights being on, and the check engine light. My speedometer is not working either ???. I replace the speed sensor today, no luck. Going to check for fault codes later. Please post what finally works for you.
