94 no start
94 no start
Need a little help....have a 94 Dodge that turns over good but wont fire. I took the selonid off and cleaned and lubed it. I can turn the ignition on and then lift the selonid up by hand and it will stay up and engine will run. It will not draw up by turning the key to start. I tried changing a cupple of relays around but didnt help. Any ideas what to try next??
Are you changing the bigger relay on the firewall?

That's the solenoid lift up relay. If you don't have a replacement relay I've heard of folks taking them apart and filing down the contacts for temporary.

More likely the problem is the blue wire at your driver's side battery is corroded. Many times it is corroded under the insulation where you can't see it.
If you need to replace the whole thing it's actually a fusible link. Just ask for a blue one at the autoparts. Blue denotes the amperage.

Bingo, checked the wires on drivers side battery and two wires there were corroded and one even broke off when I moved it. Put new ends on them , tightened them down and now we are back in busness. Thanks for the info.....
