53 block

I posted a few days ago about the CKP. So while I was down there changing the sensor I Just happened to look up and saw the number 53, and after being on this site I knew that was a bad thing. So I decided to get rid of the pickup. I have owned the pickup since new so dont ask why I never checked before, maybe its denial. So right away I went to the other side and look for leaks. To my relief there wasnt. The next day I went looking for a different pickup, because I knew about the 53 block, I would never stop worring about it. Since I dont use the pickup much anymore I decided to trade down instead of get a newer one. The local dealer has a nice 96 12v diesel with an auto tranny. The pickup has 216000 miles on it. Far I know so far the transfer case has been recently rebuilt and the transmission rebuilt also but not sure how long ago. Is there anything to check for, or be concerned about, or maybe some possible questions to ask the dealer. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

In my opinion even without the 53 block trading a 24 valve for 12 is trading up.
Go for it.

Thanks infidel. I know what you mean. I had an 89 cummins pickup before that I wish I had back.
