5.9 Ho Problem With My 6 Speed Help!!!

Heard of you guys after posting on the RAMCHARGER site and got referred here.
The problem I have is I have a 2003 Ram 2500 Quad cab that was in a light flood but the Hemi wasnt well after so I bought a rolled Ram 3500 Quad cab for the CUMMINS HO and the transmission. The bell housing on the transmission, which is in 2 parts, needs replacing as it is cracked. The outer piece came off fine, but getting the piece that fits right next to the tranny looks to be a mare!!! as it will not free up.
Please advise
Also I am taking the cab off and would like to know where to strao the cab for lifting without causing damage
