47re problem

i have a problem with my tranny if you manualy shift it. it hits 1-2-3 and thats it no 4th and no lockup in full auto in drive it starts out in 2nd any ideas

Just a guess but sounds like limp mode. Have you checked for codes?

truck is 98-24 v no codes seen sensor for speed changed no difference tranny does not slip

Check the governor pressure transducer, that will cause the 2nd gear starts. IF you lost OD and lockup it's a failed solenoid/relay, they are both solenoid controlled on the same little block of the VB.
