06 shifter linkage help.

I just went to back up with the truck and it wouldn't shift into reverse. Feels like there is some thing stripped in the steering Colum. I took it some what apart and it looks like the back rod that goes into some black thing with 2 wires is missing a part as it comes out and there is a hole in it but nothing in the hole. Kind of sounds like plastic slipping when u try and shift the leaver. It has been hard to put into gear sometimes not tranny bit leaver really had to pull it back hard. Looking for parts and numbers if you have them thanks. I might be stuck at work.

Ok dont know how but I got home and took it apart and found the cable was broke. Must have broke while in drive and some how with enough wiggling I got it to start, and drove it home. The broken cable end going through the part of the cable assembly was the stripped plastic sound I heard. Cable ordered but won't be here to sat.
