06 with problems

Well on Wednsday i was headed up to Little Elm with a 40 ft gooseneck flatbed trailer and i was only running 55 mph when the truck made a awful clatter noise and started slowing down. Well after i pulled over i tried putting in the clutch and sticking it in first gear and it would just vibrate and rattle to death. So i get someone to come pick up the trailer and have the wrecker take the truck home. I can get in the truck and start it up and shift through all gears with out the clutch just sitting there in the driveway and nothing happens. So today i go outside and i decide im gonna mess with it for a minute and i turn on the truck push the clutch in a put it in first gear and the truck moved just fine. So i turned it off and gave it like an hour and went and tried to do it again and when i put it in gear the truck wont go anywhere. Can someone please help me out with this. The truck has a SB clutch in it and hopefully that is the problem and not the transmisssion. The truck has 65000 miles and has the Bullydog Tripledog and monitor and cold air induction and full 4" strait exhaust and the South Bend clutch. Not sure which clutch form SB though. Thanks

I think there were some problems with the dual mass flywheel? Maybe it came apart?

If the problem is with the flywheel, it has to be replaced. Have to dig into it probably.

If it shifts and moves fine once, and not another, I would say it is in the clutch or flywheel. It's hard to say, but if it was a hard part in the trans, I can't see it working one time and not another.

yea thats what i was thinking, we just started up the truck and it has a bad rattle and then when we push in the clutch the rattle stops, and on the flywheel we bought a brand new one when the clutch was installed we put that in there.

yea that is a possibility to, we just drove the truck in 1st and 2nd gear and put it in reverse for about 50 ft and it goes just fine but theres a bad rattle in it until you push the clutch in.

I was thinking G56 #53......but I could be wrong as usual. If so that clutch is spendy.....but I only see the dealer price....and I don't do sticks.
