Take it to the dealer!! That sentence was sooooo long and hard to understand that now I'm confused.

Does it run bad or is the oil gauge just read high?

How do you know if the gauge is working correctly, have you put a manual gauge on it to see what it reads??

I would not worry about it yourself just take it in to the dealer and have them fix it.

There's a spring with a check ball in the oil pump that may have gotten hung up somehow which would cause your high oil pressure issue. If it was too high it would blow the rubber ring off the top of your oil filter. If that hasn't happened then I'd almost say be happy that it's high. Throw some synthetic oil in it and the pressure may drop some. It will also drop some if you put some thinner oil in it. I'm not sure what all viscosities are available for diesels though.
I say all this assuming that they still make oil pumps in the same general fashion as they did 20 years ago. If that has changed then disregard everything I said......

You paid big bucks for the warranty, may as well use it.

Dollarship said op is normal i think i was checking it wrong.Ithink the trans is actin funny but only time will tell the dodge dealers dont like to look into anything unless a check engine light is on or something has completely failed. Kinda wishin i got the six speed but i am going to make this truck last no matter what.I drive about 15-20k per year and am thinkin about getting an extended warranty but dc warranties are very high
