No spot for trespassers and Liberals? I know its not fair to feed dogs Liberals it messes with their digestion.

 

You forgot about socialists too. Not as hard on the digestive system and provide good protein.



I voted for premium dry food and people food. I don't give mine scraps too often but I do cook up some lean ground beef or gound turkey and mix it with rice, garlic, and a little broth. Boomer loves when I cook for him, I usually do it when i run out of dry food and haven't been to the store yet.

 

I buy the big bags of pedigree from TSC. I was always suspicious of the old roy at wally world.

 

Science Diet Here. High Energy formula. Higher protein. Good Stuff!!!

 

My dogs always got either Science Diet, when I could get it here, or Purina. Dry. No table scraps. No eating off the plate.

 

Pedigree little bites for my 13 yr old buddy pug. Occasional bits of pizza crust.

My parent's dog died prematurely of clogged arteries from people food scraps. The vet recommended premium dry food with an occasional can of wet food or table scrap. I'm sold on Science Diet. Petco has a site that has specials now and then and you can buy it delivered to your door.

 

Preimum here and our dogs did get a bite or two from the table but not much. They did like to lick the plates.

 

Hey!, I got a 10 yr old pug too. He gets Iams Mini.

 

We've always fed our dogs Ol Roy. And we always get comments on how healthy they look and how shiny their coats are. No health problems. All of our dogs have lived to be over 13 years of age and were healthy to the very end. The big name expensive brands had the same recalls as the cheaper brands in 07 anyway. Our dogs like it and maintain their weight and appearance very well on it. And they are fed the table scraps also but there's normally not many leftovers around here. Ol Roy is made by one of the same plants that make some of the bigger name dogfoods and it's coming down the same production line. Here is a list of the foods that Menu foods produces.

Cheap dry dog foods are mostly corn. We look at the ingredient list and get stuff that corn is not #1 on.

 

Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed Lamb and Rice

Occasionally throw in a raw egg or a cup of Cottage Cheese or Steamed Rice.

Problem is they get 8 cups of dry food each daily...Talk about expensive.

Look for any brand that does not list corn as a first or second ingredient.
We feed 1/2 premium dog food and 1/2 raw pet food prepared at a local processing plant that produces people food.
Got caught up in the bad pet food scam of 07 and do not want to repeat that heartache.

 

We keep a bowl of kibbles and bits out and my dog gets a can of 9 Lives a day. A bit higher in fat content than regular dog food. the kids do give the dog table scraps, but not often.
