Mine are about 6-8 inches above the cab as well. Mine arent too loud. I ride with the windows down all the time due to no a/c so when i do roll the windows up it sounds nice and peaceful to me. But i dont mind the noise. I love to here the growl of the motor and the tirbo whine and the whoosh of air everytime i clutch.

Well to each his own as far as what looks good to the individual. I think duals done right look good as well as a single. I like my single 6". It has a Aero Turbine 5050XL muffler underneath and is still very loud sometimes. I bought a stack muffler from Black Cloud right after I put the stack in. When I got it, I just looked at it and went, crude that was a wasted $60 and through it on a shelf. But with an upcoming heavy tow I was will to try anything to get the noise down. I "installed" the muffler last night and much to my surprise it does quiet the in cab noise down. I haven't driven enough under varying conditions to qualify just how much quieter it is in the cab, but it is quieter. It definetly is less harsh at all speeds in the cab. I guess I should have tried it sooner. The only down side is that it funnels my 5" into a 4"x18" muffler in my 6" stack. It might have to come out for the track.

So, did you lose the flapper you had on top or was that someone else?

i am about to put a single six stack on my truck, installing it in the corner and plan on getting it a couple of inches above the cab. my truck is a ext. cab and its the dark grey, i am gonna get a flat black miter stack. i am a little worried about the noise cause when i took the muffler of my truck it was way too loud. think it will look good???

No I still have the flapper, that picture was taken before I put it on. Had to take it off last night to stick the stack muffler in. By the time I had it back on I had soot all over everthing.

Wel today I added second Flo-Pro Twister muffler to my exhaust, one as far forward as possible and one right before the flex pipe. Sounds great, drone is pretty well gone, and mileage and egts so far is staying the same.

What do you do when it rains? Don't the stacks get water down them and then blow all that soot all over your trucks??
