Worked the Cummins a little today
Hey guys, my mom asked me today to go get a truck load of black compost dirt for her gardens etc. Me and a buddy went out to our landfill and spend 45 min. hand shoveling the whole back end of my truck worths of this dirt. It was about 93 deg, humid hot and just plan nasty out. Anyway, we got done and headed back into town. I found out on the way home, a "heavy" load in the bed plus a hot humid day equals some pretty nasty exhaust smoke down low before the turbo lights
Before we got to my house, i drove to a local elevators truck scale and I tipped the scale at 10,500 lbs. I also had my truck sitting fairly level, if not a smidge on the nose high scale.
Heres some pics and a couple vids from when i got home

Reciently I had to go to the local Fleet Farm to pickup 150 bags of mulch for the old lady's grandma. I wish I could of got some pictures... I thought the truck box and a 5x8 open trailer would be enough room HAHA
...
It still amazes me how much better my truck runs and rides down the road with some good weight behind her

A good load also helps keep my rear end on the pavement... Some of the roads up here will actually get the rear tires to lift enough off of the pavement to where you can hear a slight increasy in engine RPM's.... PITA

I had about 1000lbs of paver stones and sand in mine today for the the MIL's house. Couldn't really notice it too much except for the nice smooth ride
Lol yep, I'll run around here with a trailer in tow on the main highways and the look you get is great when you go flying up the hills, passing the tiny cars or loaded gassers like its nothing.
