my '08' red mega, should outlast me.
i was planning on replacing the little '83' ranger in a few years.
now i've changed my mind, and am restoring/hot rodding a 56 f-100.
power will either be a cummins 4bt or a e-85 ford 4.6 @ 12.5/13:1 compression

If I needed one ,yes I'd buy one,but family rule has been only one car payment at a time, and it's my wifes turn next. After that my son will need his first car, so I guess I better be happy with my 05 for a long while, at least 10 more years.

I think that if I were to get rid of my 08, that I would go backwards. To many pristine used trucks out there selling at good prices with no gubment emissions headaches.

I vow to continue to buy whichever truck best meets my needs..
- Sufficient power to tow my trailer.
- Purchase price.
- Operating costs (mpgs, service items, tires etc.)
- Comfortable for the whole family.
- Warranty.
- Easy to work on myself.
- Reputation for powertrain longevity.
- Dealer experience.
The answer for me was Dodge in 2003, and I'm guessing it will be again in 2010 when I need a bigger backseat for my teenagers.
