i have seen rockwells with brakes on the ends of the axle it is just that they are drums and they are huge the wheels you would need would be a wierd size. they make disc brake conversions but they are very pricy. I always thought what if you blow out you gears no brakes or what
The parking brake set-up on my land rover and on my step-van have a drum brake mounted on the back of the transmission. When you brake it brakes all 4 wheels at the same time through the driveshaft.

Are you talking about the s-10? It has one, look closer. I couldn't find a pic that shows the rear pinion angle. Unless you guys are looking at different pics than I am.
