IMHO, the best tire i have ever ran hands down was the toyo M55 on my 12v, in a 285/75/16 size. Those tires wore like iron, ten plies with 4 on the sides, had really good off road traction, yet not too aggressive, and even with 50K miles on the set when i sold the truck, they still looked to have at least half thread on them. I rotated them every 5K miles (oil change) and stayed on their pressure...

Right now the tire i run is a BFG KM2 mudder in a 285/17. I love these tires, but the drawback is in the sand they dig, and HARD, but in the mud, they flat out rock.. Highway they make noise, but thats to be expected.. so far after 10K miles, they are wearing well, but dont forsee them outlasting the Toyos...

I wish someone from toyo would read this and make the M55 in a 285/17 combo!! they do in stock size for our rams tho
