hey I resent that!

As long as you dont put dual CP3's on, you are safe on duramax stock internals. Over 600rwhp you are running on borrowed time.

the 4.5 to 05 lly is really not screwed up. gm screwed up and didn't upgrade the cooling system to handle more btu's for the water cooled egr/ and variable vane turbo. eliminate those two peiceas and they don't over heat. OR... go to a site called coolmyduramax.com :

http://www.coolmyduramax.com/forums/index.php

this guy sells an" out of the stack radiator" that sits below the core support. this totally fixes that issue (FOR $$ of course). the advantage to these are better than lbz and 06 lly mileage... without the the lb7 injector issues. you install the v2 radiator tin these trucks, and you have a very strong performer.

why don't i have one? they are to new new yet and are out of my price range.

why am i here? I am looking a dodges for more truck per dollar. make sense?

really if they the 04.5 to 05 lly were in my price range... that would be exactly what i would do. buy one and put the v2 on it and go on down the road...
they just cost to **** much.... or more than i can justify, anyway.

This is in the next year or so - keeping the 12V...

I love the Cummins, but the fact that my Cummins service center can't even troubleshoot the CR with their diagnostic tool is absurd. And I hate the dealership...

Which brings me back to the warranty...

If I can get a 5 year on the GMC, that might be the route I go...

I'll NEVER own a Ford...

EVER...

If it was given to me I'd trade it or sell it...
I have had my 03 for 4 years now with no problems.

Just to correct some wrong information posted earlier. Not all 06 automatics are LBZs. The early 06 trucks are still called LLYs. They have all the upgrades of an LBZ but they are still only rated for 310/605. It is just a few keystrokes and mouse clicks away from being just as good or better than an LBZ though. If you really want an LBZ look for an eighth VIN digit of "D".
