found an 2002 2500 dodge 2wd auto with less than 50k miles...and less than $15k

what kind of mileage could i estimate?

 

A little more than 20 hiway if you keep it under 70. empty that is.

I have an 01.5, and get 18.x MPG around town. 11.x pulling a 11.7K lb high profile fiver.

 

I can get up to 20.5 mpg out of mine if I keep the speed under 62 MPH, 17-18 mpg at 70 MPH when Empty so I would think you would get 20+ unless it has 4.10 rear axle.

 

Kindof expensive for that - even with low miles. You could buy a 4wd 3rd gen with the Comon-rail injection system for less than that. I would skip the VP-44 fuel system altogether along with the 47RE transmission.

in terms of mileage, I have the 12V manual version (regular cab) of that truck, best I've ever gotten, hand calculated on the highway was 25 mpg. Mostly 19 in town to 22 or 23 on the road. Mine is stock, and fairly "light" for one of these rigs. Never thought I would call my truck "light..."
