Re:vt-50 turbo help

I have a VT50 setting on my garage shelf right now. They ran the 50's on the 855 Big Cam Models.

Mine doesnt show any marking of AR. So, it could have been a rebuilt unit from Air Research. I know they used to be a major supplier to different engine mfg's.

Re:vt-50 turbo help

The housings should have the A/R cast in. It will be either on the outside of the housing, or on the inlet to the exhaust housing. The Compressor A/R should be listed externally.

I wish Holset Turbo's were listed with A/R!

A/R =The Area / Radius ratio
A = Area of throat at intake
R = radius of scroll in the housing of either the compressor or exhaust turbine
