Upcoming diesels

Does anyone have info on diesels that will be appearing in the future? I know about the Liberty diesel and the TDI. I have heard that the F-150 might get a diesel and maybe the Dakota as well. Anybody know?

I believe we will see more diesels in 2006 with the new EPA mandated diesel fuel requirement. This will allow the European/Asian vehicle manufacturers with diesels to import into the US. In Europe you can buy PT Cruisers, Caravans and even the Jeep Grand Cherokee with a diesel engine. So does MB, BMW and Volvo. On the Asian side Toyota and Nissan has some excellent diesels in their line of pickups and SUVs.

The Passat TDI and Touareg TDI are out NOW
I test drove a Passat last week and was ready to buy, BUT they are having issues with it. I felt a hiccups at 70+mph. ONe of the service techs I talked to said "wait", they already had a buy back... not to mention the Passat is only available with an auto right now

This is beside the point, but one of the most anticipated engine in 30 years is a new diesel engine...... for aircraft! Yup thats right! To be released this year. It will run on diesel and / or jet fuel (from what I have heard)

Isn't Thielert a division of Daimler Chrysler?

I just received an email from Volvo that they may offer the XC90 TDI when the ULSD becomes available nationwide.
