Question Turbo with out silencer ring=Deer stopper?

Ok... We have a 1998.5 Dodge Ram 2500 CTD, The week after week got it we removed the silencer ring... Now every time we come up to a deer in the road or on the side of the road, the deer seems to scatter and run away from the truck and we've never had a deer run infront of us.... But the trucks we've seen with a silencer ring have hit deer..... Does the silencer ring have the same effect as the air wistles that clip or stick to your bumper... Any one ever hit a deer with out the silencer ring in?What about with it out....Post your storys here.

Yup, sure did. Going uphill with boost built. Cost was one headlight. Gotta love a good bumper.

Wife two this year. Last one was 4500 to repair her RAV-4.
