Trucker Strike?
Why bother?
Most trucking outfits just tack on a fuel surcharge to cover the additional fuel cost.
Now, when the fuel surcharge gets higher than the shipping cost, THAT'S when things will slow down considerably!
The truckers tried strikes/shutdowns back in the '70's and again in the '80's.
Didn't change a thing, other than cutting into what little profits were being made. The freight still moved, by 'gypsie' outfits.

I hear about one a couple times a year. They never happen. If a trucker isn't smart enough to run his/her business with a fuel surcharge agreement with the customer or company they service, they deserve to go broke.
I think the guy asked if anybody had heard of a trucker strike on june 1. I don't think he was looking for a answer on if it was going to be a waist of time, . or if a truck driver should charge a surcharge. Now back to the question. I have heard some of the truckers in my area talking about it. June 1 was the date I heard them talking.

I did not realize there were post ****'s over here too. I thought we lived in America and were free to speak our minds.
