Anyone see the Sept/Oct issue with the two squaring off ? Different trucks per se ,but they took it into account . All favored the Dodge for puling ,braking, turning and comfort . If you look at the ratios in the six speed compared to the Ford auto becomes crystal clear why the Ford is faster . Dodge has really hit the mark with the 2004.5 trucks . I know mileage is still an issue ,but with the numbers that Cummins is putting out , mileage is definately gonna drop some . Our M11 ,N14 , and ISM engines average 5-7 mpg ............. I am sure Cummins will address that issue . Still beats the Ford towing mpg with more power to boot !!

 

I love the Cummins and being a straight six (like many of the Big Rigs) it really can develop some torque. IMHO I think the 7.3 was better than the 6.0.

 

Did trucktrend test the 6sp 6.0 against the 600??? Or just the torqueshift against the 600???? I bet it would have been even worse with the 6.0 6sp.....The Ford dealer my brother in law uses told him not to get the 6.0 in a 6spd because they cant make them run right....
