Transfer Tank Question

I'm switching from gas to a 1st Gen CTD for my Dodge Dually. I figured at the same I'd install a 98 gallon transfer tank from these guys:TransferFlow .
Here's the truck:

Does anybody have an idea what the combination of steel tank + diesel fuel would weigh? And what are the effects of carrying that much weight that high up in the truck?

Figure that diesel weighs about 7 pounds per gallon.
You could call the manufacturer to see what the tank weighs.

As for carrying the weight high, there's quite a few trucks using those tanks on the road allready.

PS: Nice lookin' Rig.

Thanks. Right now the torqueflite trans is breaking my *****, so the sooner I get the truck off the road the better. I guess the additional weight won't be a problem.

Nice looking truck. I carry a 100 gal tank ( it will hold 104 full) in a 3/4 ton cc and havn't had any problems, although I would recommend baffles in the tank, mine doesn't have any and I can feel the fuel moving if I corner too fast or stop too fast.

I have the 70 gal tank from Transferflow. VERY good product and they do come with baffles. I installed mine myself, took about 5 hours (would of taken less time if I had an assistant).

Go for it.
