transfer tank filters?

those of you with transfer tanks. where are you getting your fuel filter housing from? and which filters are you using? i'm thinking of using this filter housing from northern tool.

That one will work great. Any filter set up to fit fuel supply tanks with a spin on filter will work. It is best to get one with a water trap style filter. The transfer tanks will get moisture in them no matter how hard you try to keep them dry. Its just from internal condensation and happens even if it is as full as you can get it. If you are putting this tank in your truck , make sure you have it secured well. If it is a 100 gal tank you will be carrying over a thousand pounds of fuel in there and it sloshes around in there. If it isnt fastened down and just slid in you will lose your tailgate. Ummmm not that I ever did that!!

Isn't diesel lighter than water? Water only weighs something like 8.4 lbs to the gallon so it wouldn't be close to 1,000 lbs. Hence why a fuel/water seperator works. But maybe I'm wrong. Still when you're talking about an unsecured tank with that much weight what does 200 lbs matter! LOL I would have hated to have been behind you!
