Trans Problem (TIM need help!)

My buddy has a 94 ford 7.3 with an auto od trans. ( i know)

The problem he has is the it keeps overheating the trans. Went to the dealer had a new trans and converter installed (New not rebuilt). Well still has the problem, it has a aftermarket cooler. When it gets hot it starts slipping. He took it back to the dealer under warr and they tell him the can't find anything wrong. Any ideas?

Maybe a bigger pan and some premium fluid. Thats about all this stick guy can think of besides a bigger tranny cooler.

Could one of the lines to the cooler be plugged/kinked?

I'd say he needs to determine if the cooler is big enough and working correctly, with enough flow. then, if it s slipping and shot, which causes the heat.
Has he added a lot of fuel/power?
