Tractor tuning sites?

Im thinkin about toying with the performance on a 60s model Case 930 or 931, I cant remember, that has just been sitting on the ranch for the past couple of years. Does anyone know where to get upgrade parts or find info on turning up the pump? Also what size turbo would be right for it? I believe my H1C with 3" inlet, 2" outlet would be big. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

It probably would be a 930. What year is it? Is it a Comfort King with case-o-matic? Those are tough tractors. If you pulled them down to hard under load to the point they quit , they will start runnin backwards! My Dad bought one new in 1968. I was 9 years old and boy that was a big tractor then. They have a long stroke to them and I think max rpm is 1800. I cant quite remember been to long ago. I will have to do some diggin I might have the owners manual to it which had the specs in it. The weak part of those tractors are the heads. They liked to crack heads. There is a head for every 2 cylinders. I cant remember what turbo came on them. I overhauled Dads for a high school ag shop class project when I was a freshman. They are fun tractors tho. Heres a web site that may help you figure out how to turn up the pump. I think is a in-line bosch on those tractors.

Well I know that they had an A-pump on them and I cannot recall if they are a four or six cylinder ATM (sorry been awhile since I've seen one at the shop since there aren't many around ). A-pumps are simple enough to turn up and I'll look through our books at the farm for a simple "tune-up" on the case A-pump (we build tractors for local pullers on the side). An Air-Research TO4 would have been the most common turbo found on them but a 3LM Schwitzer would be the better one to get your hands on. If you could find a smaller exhaust housing for your H1C that would actually make a great turbo and the 16cm housing would still work just fine.

I'll post a general spec tune on the A-pump for you tomorrow

Wow thanks guys! Big help! It is a 6 Im almost positive. Ill be out at the ranch on Thursday. It is a comfort king. And for sure, it is a wheelie monster...Back when it was our mowing tractor, there was no going up a 2%grade on 4 wheels. Then just gotta okay the fun with the bossman...should be no problem since its been parked since we got our Kubota.
