Switching form A PSD to Cummins soon Help

I have a 95 PSD that is strong and in good shape that I plan on keeping for 100 mile or less trips to the deer lease or OHV parks or letting the wife use to haul the horse trailer for some trail riding. My problem is I want something new and I have a buddy with a Dmax and I dont like it, and the new 6.0PSD and that 6.4PSd apear to be junk for the serious user. I am leaning towards the Cummins and want to make an informed decesion. Can someone point me to a link or site that lists all the TSB's. No truck will be perfect and even my old PSD has has a few minor upgrades to make it last this long. So I am preparred to add things as needed.
I haul
78K5 on a trailer
25ft gooseneck Horse trailer
30ft gooseneck Flat with Hay or farm equipment
Long runs to the deer lease and I need a 4X4 as my PSD is 2 wheel
Any help is greatly appreciated

Many thanks, we tow a lot, horse trailer fully loaded is 14K. I've hear bad things about the Auto tranny and really dont want to down grade to a stick unless I have too.

The auto tranny is bad, would you be willing to wait for the new tranny next year? If not, upgrade VB and TQ will make you VERY happy with a stock truck. Glad you decided to join

the 48re unlike the 47re has not had near as many problems and should be fine for towing it's not an allison but should serve as well or better than the 95 psd auto tranny

The 48re has been around for a few years. In '07 there is supposed to be a new 6-speed auto made by Aisin.
