Personally I think anything over 4 inches is a waste but they DO look cool.

im inthe same boat wanting to save that little few inches . but i think cutting the toolbox is toomuch.. i have a tannau cover and will be giving it up! i think it will be too much work to cut and work aroung the stacks! i guess a tool box will be the only way to go unless i get a rollup style cover now. and i cant stand on one of those to work!!

Turnouts down look good on SRW trucks whether there SWB or LWB IMHO. Mitres are the wat to go. Just my $.02

P.S. I got pics in my gallery of my toolbox that I had cut to fit around my stacks.

Yeah, if it's a whole exhaust setup from turbo back. This is just like a big exhaust tip... 4" stacks in my opinion, look wayy to small and sound awful...

Six inchers will look great if your asking me but like everything else it depends on the person, and thats will we all buy our own trucks. I have 7" so your taikin to a fan off big stacks. I have also seen people just mount their toolboxes right up next to the stacks biggest problem with that is garbage tends to build up between them.

you were saying that you're going to cover the pipeing. I would be guessing that its diamond plate tool box. Go down to your local metel fab or welding and truck suplies shop and they will take some measurements and will cut and bend you a piece that can be mounted either with stainless bolts(just because they match) or rivots so it can mount to the back of the tool box and then to the bed. A friend of mine had 1 made for his 03 f350 looked good but held alot of heat tho. The only problem with it was all the heat stay'd in there and had no way to get out so it will hold alot of heat in there and in the tool box Im not saying I don't recomend it just dont plan on buying a cold case of beer and putting it in your tool box in hopes it stay's cold cuz it wont.
