General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Has me wondering if you adapted it to a conveyor, would the Airplane be able to take off finally.......

Give our Trucks enough horsepower to finally drag those Concrete bedliners around in style?

Sorry, the devil made me do it, that would be cool to adapt for Supercharger use.

Agreed, I think the best parts are the fact compression is almost instantly available (.4 sec) and the lack of heat generated as with a turbo. I can see them being used on smaller engines to give greater performance when needed yet provide better fuel economy with the smaller engine. As for the airplane and the conveyor... I used to have a picture of a belt loader that ran away from another airlines B767-300 all by itself and crashed through our office window, bags and all. The conveyor part came right in but the loader stopped at the wall, I dread to think what might have happened if it had been equipped with one of these devices.

I was thinking it could be used to take the delay or stall out of a BIG turbo by pre boosting it.
