Ran fuel full of algae, what to do?!!!
Not me, a friend of my father's. has two mid 90's CAT motors ran old home heating oil in them and now they don't run. How can he get them to run again, and what will he need to to for repairs?
I think hook up clean fuel, new filter, blow the old dirty fuel out. Change filter again, also run injector cleaner.

the algae is hard to clean up, drain the tank and blow the lines out with air flush the injection pump main housing , change filter fill with clean fuel and add agae fuel herbicide and 10% dextron atf bleed the injectors and try to start . if this does not work crack an injector line to see if you have fuel most of the cat and larger cummins of the 90's use the cam shaft to develop pressure so bleeding will look a little different than our 5.9's if you have fuel you will probably have to pull and clean the injectors if no fuel try the two screens on the pumps one on the lift pump and one on the main pump, some of the cat have the lift pump connected to the main pump, there is three buttons and screen in there just be careful and reassembly like you took it apart
