dynojet question
i've been trying to find a dynojet within a reasonable distance to me. I can't to seem find a 248 model but i have found a 224 model. My question is are these two similar? i know that the dynojet 224 is smaller. The guy at the shop said that my tires are too big but he does have a couple of stock 265's sitting in the shop that he could swap out. does this sound like a good idea and would i be gaining or loosing hp by swapping out tires? thanks guys

Maybe this will help you locate one close to you. You don't mention where you live on your profile/signature. Im not sure about the differences between the 2 you mentioned are though. Hope that helps.

Cool, see you got the loc fixed now..
I did a quick search of PA and there seems to be quite a few up that way. Hopefully you can find one closer than 3 hrs. away. Good luck. It's always nice to "verify" what your hp number is compared to what you think it might be.

i hear that! i was on a superflow before the tnt and turbo, but most seem to think that the dynojet is the best dyno for our trucks so i wanted to give it a go on one of them. the superflow is pretty close to my house so i may just get on it again. thanks again

you will gain HP by going to a more stock set of tires.only because of the weight difference.you won't gain much though.we have had guys go thru the trouble of changing tires between runs.the difference wasn't worth the trouble.

10-4 i actually don't want to change them at all. the only reason i would is because the guy said that the dynojet 224 is too small to accomadate a truck with larger tires. that's why i'm curious as too the differences between the 248 and the 224, besides the size issue. I would like to dyno the truck with the setup that i run everyday but if this 224 is the same as the 248, only smaller, then i will do it. it is nice to know that i won't lose hp though....thanks mike
