Raging battle at TDS- 6.0 vs. Cummins

I thought some of you may be bored and need some entertaining reading material.
Over at "the diesel stop" someone basically asked which is a better- the 6.0 or the cummins and all hell broke loose, I bet there are 500 post or more and close to 19 pages worth of irrational banter. Check it out and get a good laugh, some of those loyalist over there must be lawyers, because they are trying to defend what has been worst thing ever to be released to the truck buying public in years...The 6.0.

I wonder if it is just a Ford 6.0 issue or are the International VT365 engines have trouble too? How are they doing in service in medium duty vs the 5.9?

I don't consider myself a brand loyalist and I'm open to just about anything when it comes to trucks and I honestly like all of the big 3. It was a tuff decision when I was looking to buy a new truck and it took me several months to finally decide. However, I find it hard to believe that there are so many people over there that refuse to accept that Ford has a disaster on their hands in the 6.0. Even Ford has admitted that. I don't see a valid arguement in long term reliability when comparing the Cummins to a 6.0 but maybe thats just me? Hasn't Ford already came out and said that they're working on a new engine to replace the 6.0? IMO, if Ford were to offer a Cummins in the SD, sales of the 6.0 would all but stop.

Sorry for the rant, but I had to vent a little after reading so much unfounded Cummins bashing, as well as some cheap shots taken at this forum, its members, and Dodge owners in particular by some fellows over at TDS.

Who cares? I'd rather not bring a bunch of cases of "SPS" over this way.
