I am impressed , never seen such a civilized thread on that forum , with actual truth and facts in it:

No KIDDING! I did have to make sure I was looking at the same website.
Pretty truthful assessments. I could use some of those longer-lasting 2WD balljoints too!

We have put over 60 000K on in 2 yrs and have never had any ball joint failures yet, there is no loseness at all in the joints on the 97 yet, maybe we got lucky? I know between our weather and the salt off of the roads , ball joints shouldn't last longer here than in texas

TDS is how I found this place...

Somebody asked how to get over 1000 foot pounds on his 7.3 Liter, and the reply (more like consensus) was to get a Cummins...

That would be a fun thread to dig up.

I had a rather long post in that thread. I frequent those boards quite frequently. People tend to respect you more when you come off as honest and not biased and can point out the good and bad parts of your truck. Guys who come in and immediately sing the praises of their truck, and how it can't do no wrong quickly loose credibility. If someone post how there is not 1 single thing wrong with their truck, I immediately skip past their post. I don't care if they have a Dodge, Ford, or Chevy. NO truck is perfect. All have flaws. Some are just to blind by loyalty to see them.

I was actually surprised it stayed civil. I was expecting it to turn into a brand war.
